How Much Sleep Do You Need? (Hint - Not A Lot)

​A few years ago, I used to sleep for up to 11 hours a night, and still be tired and drained in my life. Now, some nights i will lay down and close my eyes for just 2 or 3 hours. What makes the difference? How you BE in every other aspect of your life! Thats what!


​How Much Sleep Do You Need?

Many people, as I am assisting them on group retreats or workshops, are very shocked at the fact I will eat quite little, mentor, speak, and do energy work all day and into the night, while sleeping only 2 or 3 hours.

You see, realistically, your body and mind needs rest. But, in order for a disconnected and energetically starved body(which lives its waking hours in an unconscious stress-based tension) to rest, exhausted and excessive sleep is the only way it can get the opportunity to repair itself.

I move through life relentlessly. When I use the word relentless, I use it to define my relationship to being conscious and aware, in my body at all times.

When you are present, your body does not have the opportunity to be in tension or stress, and if it is, you catch it, and let it go.

Therefor, I am actually in a pretty deep rest the whole time. My body, which I am in, is at ease. My mind, isn´t even in my awareness for the most part, as that thing is crazier than a bag of cats. Please, don´t hand your life over to your mind. It´s retardedness is what has your life in a mess to begin with. Nothing but stress, confusion, uncertainty, and false conditioning lives up there. The mind, is similar to an office of drunk babies covered in poop, attempting to organise your annual tax returns.

Back to my point...

I can speak to a room full of people, and be in deep rest simultaneously. I can stand, or sit, or be doing energy work with people, and be in rest simultaneously. Once I am staying in full contact with myself.

Therefore, as my main priority is being consciously here and embodied, I am resting. When night time comes around...there is no fatigue. There is no tiredness. There is no bed time. Not until my body says so.

What I am saying may seem ridiculous or insane to someone wearing a science hat, or any hat for that matter. But all I can encourage you to do, is all I encourage you to do in every instance...to be in your body, with yourself, consciously.

The body isnt a structured model that does what it is told. You cannot control the wind. It will storm when it must. It is of equal insanity to attempt to mould your body´s way of being into what society says is right for it, and expect it to go along with the orders. Society doesnt know best. The doctor in the white coat with the óne model fits all´book, and the drawer full of dangerous drugs doesnt know best. YOU KNOW BEST! But you must trust yourself enough to listen to it.

You must become sensitive to your nature within. You must listen and obey how it is moving, what it needs, and how it needs it, in this exact moment. Which will always be slightly different from the moment before.

The same goes for your eating habits. The same goes for absolutely everything you do in your life. Are you here consciously in alignment with you? Or are you here, asleep at the fucking wheel?

Once you start to rest in everything you do, you will be amazed to see how you will no longer experience fatigue, or sleepiness. You will be filled with life-force energy. Your need for sleep will lessen considerably, as your ability to be at ease, internally, grows. You will get to experience your life as a deeply joyful journey.

Below is something I shared on my Facebook, which inspired me to write this post. Please, for you, get back in contact with your nature, and allow it make all the decisions for you. That is where your intelligence lays. NOT in the immaturity of mind. We are so deeply intelligent. Use it!

Sit in ease.
Stand in ease.
Move in ease.
Breath in ease.
Feel in ease.
Interact in ease.
Sleep in ease.
Live, in ease.
...otherwise you will be living in such dis-ease, that you will become diseased.

How EASY can you be in your life?...it is a direct mirror to your level of consciousness!

To be in ease, means to be deeply conscious in your body. To be in constant contact with your inner intelligence. Your wisdom.

The tighter you become...the more stressed you become...the more compulsive you become...

I am inviting you to be here...in EASE.

Be as easy as consciously possible. Watch how every aspect of you begins to shift. Watch how you can become even more at ease the deeper you go.

Do you move yourself against or with the lifeforce running through you? Actually, wait...can you even feel the lifeforce running through you? If not, you most definitely need to slow down and take a moment. 

I live in EASE, which means I live in rest. Internal rest.

It is the chaoticness and the unconsciousness that causes you to leak lifeforce constantly, and cut yourself off from the delicious well of life energy that surrounds you.

For some people (also me in the past) sleeping a lot is another way of escapism, a way to avoid feeling.
Now I almost dont feel tired, thats why I resignate with this article.

Even after a day full of execise. My muscles can be tired but I feel energetic. So yes, the real problem with being tired and needing a lot of sleep is having a terrible relationship with our bodys and the feelings.
