Doing your REAL spiritual work is the simplest process imaginable. Your daily life is granting you the practice pad in every moment. But many fail to even see it...because they are too distracted with their abstract “spiritual practices”, which are far too impractical to ever be applied if chaos comes knocking on your door.
The challenge, lays In your ability to remain fully committed and consistent to the marvelous innocence within you, and to seduce it to the surface via consciousness.
Most adults have lost all innocence. To live by it, in a world where everybody is trying to be better than everybody else, seems counter-intuitive to “winning”. If you would just open your eyes, you would notice what you win pails in comparison with what you have lost, in the process of competing.
Coming back to innocence and authenticity in everything...love, sex, expression, movement...is the godly key.
Spiritual growth has absolutely nothing to do with doing headstands for Shiva, shakti or the Easter Bunny. Nor does it have anything to do with how many times you can chant Krishna in your big hippy pants. Don’t get me wrong, if it warms you, then by all means enjoy it. It can be a cute hobby. But I PROMISE YOU, the bells and whistles that accompany new-age spiritualism has very little to do with the reality of your growth. It’s boho entertainment. It’s distraction. Which is fine if that’s what you want. Just don’t hang your hat on it...
Your true spiritual practice will be conducted out there in your life, as you are waiting in a long-ass line, running late for your connecting flight, in a hot overcrowded airport, where there are 3 kids screaming behind you. It’s the moment when you feel huge amounts of fear and tension rise up in you in a social interaction.
These are the situations where your true work will be done. Where the profound self actualisations will occur. And don’t get me wrong, you can leave your hippy pants on the entire time, if you want to. Those things are comfortable AF.
